There is a great article and video about Green Day here. The video is about 924 Gilman St and is told by Brian Edge, author of "924 Gilman: The Story So Far" he discusses how the
perception of Green Day has changed over the past 20 years, and how it
continues to affect 924 Gilman. Article goes from the Gilman era - the American Idiot era. Its a really great read so make sure you read it here.

- New AP Mag Scans By: Jimmy On: 22 Nov 2008 Comment: 2 |
We just got sent in the new Alternative Press Magazine scans and all that I can say is "WOW". This article really takes you through every thing that Green Day has been doing since American Idiot. We get some great info on how the album is really coming along.According to Billie Joe, "It is really amazing how much you can get done when you don't tell anyone about it". Billie says that in the article and it really is true. We now know that the new untitled album will have at least two parts to it. Act 1: Hero's and Cons. And Act 2: Charlatans and Saints. We even get some song names to go along. Act 1: Hero's and Cons -21st Century Breakdown -Know Your Enemy -VIVA La Gloria -Before the Lobotomy -Christians Inferno -Last Night on Earth Act 2: Charlatans and Saints -March of the Dogs Act 3: Horseshoes and Handgrenades -(We know no songs from here yet) There is a detailed description of each song on page six. There will also be more songs of Act 2 but Alt Press wasn't allowed to listen to them. Alt Press also reports that Green Day has been working on the album since early 2006. Also it says that the rumor of Billie Joe writing 45 songs all on the piano isn't true. Below are the scans so make sure to read through them! Page 1 | Page 2 | Page 3 | Page 4 | Page 5 | Page 6 | Page 7 I will be adding the killer new pics to the photo gallery soon! |

- Billie Writes about Bono By: Jimmy On: 13 Nov 2008 Comment: 0 |
Bono of U2 was placed at #32 on Rolling Stone's 100 greatest singers. Billie Joe wrote a little article about him that you can read below:"I would describe Bono's singing as 50 percent Guinness, 10 percent cigarettes — and the rest is religion. He's a physical singer, like the leader of a gospel choir, and he gets lost in the melodic moment. He goes to a place outside himself, especially in front of an audience, when he hits those high notes. That's where his real power comes from — the pure, unadulterated Bono. He talks about things he believes in, whether it's world economics or AIDS relief in Africa. But the voice always comes first. That's where his conviction lies. He has so many
influences. You hear Joe Strummer, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Elvis
Presley, even John Lennon. And he has the same range as Robert
Plant. It's amazing, the notes he has to go through in the first
lines of "Sunday Bloody Sunday." But it's filtered through this
Irish choirboy. The Joshua Tree shows the mastery Bono has
over his A lot of Bono's free-form singing comes from the band's rhythms and the church-bell feeling of the Edge's playing, the way the guitar sings in that delay. Bono can glide vocally through all of that. But it's very natural. And he's not afraid to go beyond what he's capable of, into something bizarre like his falsetto in "Lemon." In "Kite," on All That You Can't Leave Behind, he belts it out like he's crying with joy. I never had the feeling he was manipulating the power of his voice to show off. They say a submarine never goes in reverse. That's Bono, always looking for a new way of singing something. That's one thing I learned from him: Never rest. Keep learning and be a good listener. That's the spirit of singing — and he definitely has it." Via: GDA |

Bono of U2 was placed at #32 on
voice and what he learned from punk, New Wave and American
musicians like Bob Dylan. In the quiet moments of "With or Without
You," you can imagine him sitting under the stars. Then, when he
comes back to the chorus, all of a sudden it's a
hailstorm.
