AMERICAN IDIOT TOUR: Sydney, Australia,
Sydney Cricket Ground (December 14, 2005) OMG if u haven't been 2 a Green Day concert yet no matter how much it costs U MUST GO!!!! its worth every dollar!! Well it was finally the big night and it was well well worth every minute of waiting....First up was my chemical romance and they rocked up the stage playing songs from there latest album they were excellent but the highlight was of course... "Helena"...they got all the audience involved and everyone loved them....Then Jimmy Eat World rocked up on to the stage with some great rock and roll songs they were fantastic....But as soon as the break before green day started the idiot zone was pouring in with people so was the general admission....and then who else but Billie Joe Armstrong himself walked across the stage and the crowd went wild....they kicked off the show with 'American Idiot', it rocked they sounded absolutely FANTASTIC live...next was 'Jesus of Suburbia' and the whole stadium went ballistic...Green day really can put on a show...They then played 'Holiday' and when Billie sang "bang bang" a whole heap of fire works went off... After that they played 'Hitchin' A Ride' and half way through it Billie started getting, ah shall we say raunchy? HAH...Then Billie Joe chugged down a bottle of VB beer and burped straight into the microphone...it was so funny...After playing a few more songs Billie Joe then announced that they were going 2 form a band right there...he gave three lucky people the chance to play along while he sung to 'Knowledge'....they were great...Then they played 'King for a Day' and they all came out Wearing different forms of hats (of course Tre wore a girls' hat) and of course Billie wore his crown. He sung it then started singing 'Shout' and while singing "A little bit quieter now' he lied down on the stage and Jason White came and covered him with the Australian Flag then Billie got up and started singing "We Are the Champions' everyone loved it....Then it all went quiet and the lights blanked out...then flashing lights saying 'Green day' flashed on and off and everyone joined in the chant, he then played a note on his guitar and called for us 2 say "YAY" or "BOO" lol...Then they played 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' and Billie almost started crying! It was so sad!! A few more songs then the lights went off and the spotlight was on Billie Joe and he did a excellent 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)', on the electric guitar great....then Billie Joe pointed to separate parts of the crowd and called for us to wave and scream....they then played more songs then to end the show they played 'Homecoming' and played it no short of fantastic. The last bit of the show was the fireworks shooting off the stage and into the pitch black sky and certainly lit it up.... Green day played a show that no words could describe... They got everyone out of their seats screaming and waving - it was amazing.....
