Tonight kicks off the 21st Century Breakdown Tour at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.  According to SeattleTimes.nwsource.com Green Day is planning to play 21st Century Breakdown all the way through tonight along with some older classics.  Andrew from the 1039SweetChildren team will be at the show tonight and he has promised us some pictures, short videos, and a review!  If you are going to the show tonight or any of the upcoming shows and would like to write a review of the show for us or take pictures we would be more then happy to post it on the site.  All you need to do is send it to jimmy@1039sweetchildren.com! iTunes UK has released a pre-order for the 21 Guns EP that will be available on July 12th.  There is three tracks on the EP which include: -21 Guns (Album Version) -Favorite Son (Non-Album Track) -21 Guns [Verizon Studio 880 Version] Unfortunately the EP is only available for pre-order in the UK at the moment.  If you live in the UK click here to pre-order the EP.  If you are wondering what the 21 Guns Verizon Studio 880 version is, it is a live version of the song recorded for Verizon at Studio 880 (pretty self explanatory).  We were able to get a hold of a 30 Second preview of the version of the song for you guys!  Click here to listen to the preview. But that's not all there is also a vinyl version and CD single version available at HMV.com.  The vinyl is a two track with 21 Guns on the A Side and Favorite Son on the B Side.  There will be a few different versions of the CD Single from 1 track to a 3 track CD.  Click here for information on the Vinyl Version.  Click here for more information on the CD versions.

From all of us over at 1039SweetChildren we would like to wish Billie Joe and Adrienne a very happy 15th anniversary today! Billie Joe first met Adrienne in her home town at the time, Mankato, MN at a show that he played with Green Day.  It did not happen instantly but on the second or third time they had talked to each other they became pretty good friends.  Lets not write a summery of their marriage here though!  Let me get right to the point.  In the town of Mankato, MN they have been working extremely hard to get Green Day to go back and play another show there. One girl named Amanda Dyslin, who is the editor and arts journalist at The Free Press in Mankato, was the one who started the, "Campaign: Green Day", has worked extremely hard to get into contact with Adrienne Armstrong and she did!  You can now read her full interview with Adrienne at the Mankato Free Press' website by clicking here.  You can also take a step back and see all of the work that has went into this campaign by taking a read of her blog by clicking here!

Today starts the sale of tickets the Australia tour dates.  You will be happy to know that more shows have been added to the line up!  The new dates include: -Wednesday 9 December - Brisbane Entertainment Centre -Saturday 12 December - Acer Arena, Sydney -Tuesday 15 December - Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne -Friday 18 December - Vector Arena, Auckland You can now perchance tickets for the Australian tour at Ticketek.com.au. After a little over a month since its release, the 21st Century Breakdown album has already been certified gold! KITS Live 105 Is giving away Green Day tickets, and an iPod touch tomorrow. They'll be at Serramonte Ford in Colma/Daly City, CA July 1st from 6 - 8pm. You should go check it out if you live in the Bay Area, Green Day tickets and an iPod touch? Sounds like a good deal to me. Friday the world tour starts, in Seattle Washington. I'll be there so I'll be sure to give you guys a review on how the show was, along with pictures, and some short videos. Also, Green Day will be on Fuse TV on July 11th.  As put into the words of Tre Cool from the commercial, "Learn how you can prepare for the 21st Century Breakdown."  According to Fuse,  it will be an all-day block of Green Day programming will air leading up to the premiere of the special on July 11th, so be sure to tune in Fuse’s Green Day Special will encore at 10pm on the 7/11 and then repeat throughout July and August. It's me Andrew, I was part of the team a couple years ago and I got my part back so this is my first news post in a couple years. Green Day will be appearing at West Acres Mall on July 10th at 2:00pm. First go to THAT Hot Topic, get 21st Century Breakdown, a shirt, a wristband and your good to go. The space is limited so if you want to go I would suggest getting all that stuff a few days before (well obviously), and get there early. After only two days since its premiere, the "21 Guns" music video has ranked in over 250,000 views on MySpace alone! Congratulations to the guys... That's awesome and very much deserved! Today, the soundtrack for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" was released. The soundtrack contains "21 Guns" so be sure to pick up a copy if you're a fan of the Transformers movies. The release also features music from Linkin Park, The Fray, Nickelback, The All-American Reject, and more. Click here to check out more about the soundtrack on Amazon. We have gotten word that Green Day will be playing the Jimmy Kimmel Show sometime this summer according to his official website. At this time though no date is set yet. We will be sure to keep you informed when the show will be on. MTV Germany recently did an interview with Green Day. It is split into five parts and it is posted on the MTV website. Yesterday Green Day's official MySpace released a preview clip of the 21 Guns video.  It doesn't show much but it really gets you excited for the release of the video THIS SUNDAY!  Where will it be premiered?  On the official Green Day Myspace at 9:00PM PST.  For all of our UK visitors the video will premire this coming Tuesday on NME.com.  Watch the preview clip below:      Behind The Scenes of 21 Guns To celebrate Record Store Day's Vinyl Saturday Green Day is releasing a limited edition "Know Your Enemy" 7'' single.  The vinyl will Know Your Enemy and Hearts Collide.  According to GreenDay.com supplies are limited so you will have to go out and buy it fast!
